AAF International traces its roots to Bill Reed, a skilled engineer and clever entrepreneur who recognized in 1921 that cleaning the air was critical to the growth of society, the development of technology, and the protection of human health. He developed the Reed Air Filter which represented the initial step in building an international company that would globally lead the air filtration industry – AAF International.

Today, AAF possesses extensive expertise in air filtration solutions which are able to make a difference in meeting the increasingly challenging environmental demands. The broad product and service portfolio covers a versatile range of both particulate and gas-phase filtration solutions that offer the customer the answer to each air quality challenge, tailored to the specific application needs. All products are designed and tested to meet the latest filtration standards, such as EN779:2012 and EN1822:2009.

AAF also actively participates in international industry regulation committees, such as Eurovent, so that customers can be assured that they are working with a reputable, responsible and reliable partner. Dedicated technical support is provided from the HVAC design stage up to on-site installation and monitoring in order to ensure that air quality is optimized at minimized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).

From its world headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, AAF maintains operations in 22 countries with more than 2,600 employees worldwide and has sales offices in 260 locations. AAF is supported in its international ventures through the resources of its parent company OYL Industries Berhad, based in Malaysia. OYL, in turn, is owned by Daikin Industries, Ltd., Osaka, Japan, a diversified international manufacturing company and a global leader in air conditioning.

The European headquarters are based in Emmen, the Netherlands. AAF has a close Europe-wide distribution network and all its manufacturing facilities are ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 certified. Recent investments in manufacturing and supply chain have resulted in further improved quality assurance and a smooth logistical system.
